What is the Char Dham Yatra?

The Char Dham Yatra consists of visits to four sacred Hindu shrines located in Uttarakhand:

Itinerary



Arrive at the Indra Gandhi International Airport, meet our representative over there, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then overnight at the hotel, in Delhi.
In morning post taking a delicious breakfast at the hotel, start your tour of Delhi by visiting, Raj-Ghat, the cremation premises of Mahatma Gandhi (The Father of The Nation). Then proceed towards Jama Masjid, also past drive the area of Red fort and Chandni Chowk. In Afternoon visit the great piece of of architecture designed by Qutub-ud-abik, i.e Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb. Post seeing these wonderful attractions take a step further and reach the area where the amar jawan is lit up i.e India gate where the retreat ceremony also takes place on Independence Day. Then proceed to get the blessing of goddess Lakshmi by visiting the Lakshmi Narayan Temple. Post that Past Drive the Parliament House and the other Government Buildings. Also visit the central hub which is one of the most famous place of Delhi to shop and eat, I.e Connaught Place. Overnight at Hotel in Delhi.
In the morning, have a delicious breakfast, then check-out from the hotel. Then board the cab/bus towards Haridwar (By road approx. journey of 4 hours 242 km). Arrive at Haridwar, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then relax for a a while, rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Haridwar.
In the morning, have a healthy and fresh breakfast, then proceed to pay a visit to the holi river Ganga, where you can take bath in the river and can seek the blessings of the almighty. Then later proceed towards the market of Haridwar, where you can explore the area, and can have the delicious delicacies of Haridwar. Later arrive back at the hotel and relax for a while. Later in the evening, again proceed towards the River Ganga at Har ki Pauri, for pay a visit to the evening aarti of the holy river. This amazing aarti takes place every day at Har ki Pauri. Then arrive back at the hotel, have a healty fresh veg meal. Overnight at the hotel In Haridwar.
In the morning, have a healthy fresh veg breakfast, then checkout from the hotel in Haridwar, then start your journey towards Barkot, (By Road, approx 210 km at an altitude of 1352 ft.). Later arrive at Barkot, check-in the hotel post arriving at Barkot. Then later the day at leisure, have a lip-smacking dinner at the hotel. Overnight at Barkot.
In the moring, have a delicious breakfast, the proceed towards the Jankichatti/Phoolchatti, from here start your trek towards Yamnotri. (06 kms). You can either walk of can hire a doli or horse. Arrive at Yamnotri, take a bath in the holy water of the Surya Kund, which is also a Hot Water Spring. Then enjoy the darshan at the Yamuna Ji. Then return to the Jankichatti/Phoolchatti. Arrive here then start the drive towards Barkot, and then arrive and have a lip-smacking dinner at the hotel, overnight at Barkot.
In the morning, have a delicious breakfast, then proceed toward the amazing, Uttrakashi. Pay a visit to the Shivgufa on your way to Uttrakashi. Also pay the visit to the holy temple Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Arrive at Uttrakashi, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then the rest of the day is at leisure, for rest. Then have a delicious veg meal at the hotel. Overnight at Uttrakashi.
In the morning, have a delicious breakfast, then start your day with drive to Guptkashi, (By road approx. distance 220km). Then drive past the beautiful river of Mandakini at Tiwara. The river of Mandakini comes from Kedarnath. Then pay a visit to the famous Narishwar Temple in Guptakashi. Arrive at Guptakashi, transfer to the hotel, Check-in. Then relax for a while. The rest of the day is at leisure, later have a lip-smacking veg dinner at the hotel, overnight at the hotel in Guptkashi.
In the morning, get up fresh, and then proceed towards the holy Kedarnath, you have 2 options to arrive at Kedarnath, either you can go by air in a helicopter, (at your own expense or it depends on the package the customer purchases). (NOTE- if you go by helicopter, arrive at the helipad at Phata, Guptkashi Sirsi, board the helicopter there, arrive at the holy Temple of Kedarnath, pay a visit to the temple, seek the blessings, then later board the helicopter and arrive back.). The option is by trek. (NOTE:- First you have to reach Gaurikund, then proceed towards Sonprayag after breakfast. Distance between gaurikund and sonpryang is 5 kms. Jeeps are available. Then from Gaurikund, Kedarnath is 14 kms. Arrive at Kedarnath, pay a visit to the Kedarnath Temple. Later trek back towards Guarikund take a jeep to Sonprayag. Then arrive and drive back to your hotel in Guptkashi.
In the morning have a healty breakfast, then start your by proceeding the journey towards the holy place of Badrinath. (By Road approx. distance is 220km). Arrive at Badrinath, transfer to the hotel. Check-in. Then take bath, post that proceed towards the Taptkund and have the darshan of the Badrivishal & Aarti in the evening. The Bramhakapal is significant for Pinddan, the shraddh of ancestors. There are also few other intresting points which are there, which you can see, the areas are, Mana, Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpauduka. The Bhimkund and the “Mukh of the Saraswati River”. These all are located in the 3 kms of the Badrinath. Then arrive back to your hotel in Badrinath. Relax for a while. Later have a tasty veg dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel in Badrinath.
In the morning, have a tasty breakfast. Check-out form the hotel, and start your drive toward the Rudraprayag via Joshimath (By Road approx. 160 km). Pay a visit to the Darshan of Vishnu Prayag, Narshingh Temple in Joshimath, KarnPrayag, Nand Prayag. Then arrive at Rudrapryag, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then relax for a while. Followed by the dinner at the hotel in the evening. Overnight at the hotel in Rudraprayag.
In the morning, have a tasty veg breakfast, then checkout from the hotel and start your journey towards Rishikesh. (By Road approx. distance 150km). On your way pay a visit to the Dev Prayag. Arrive At Rishikesh, and transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then later after relaxing for a while, proceed to pay a visit to the Triveni Ghat Ganga Aarti. Then later arrive back at the hotel, and have a lip-smacking dinner at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
In the morning, have a delicious breakfast then proceed to pay a visit to the famous attraction the Laxman Jhoola& Ram Jhoola. Along with the Ashrams in Rishikesh, later arrive back at the hotel, and check-out. Then start your journey towards Delhi. (By road approx 240km). Arrive at delhi, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Then the rest of day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel in Delhi.
In the morning, have a delicious breakfast, then the rest of day is at leisure. You can explore the capital city on your own pace or can just sit back at the hotel and relax. Later in the evening, check-out from the hotel, transfer to the airport, to board the flight back home.
